Weekend Art Courses
Drawing Classes
Suitable for all levels. Everything you need to know about observing your subject matter, using line and tone, and light and dark, understanding tonal contrasts and how the light source affects the subject, and drawing objects in relation to each other. Using formal, structural arrangements to tighten your observational skills, make you 'look' harder and get the right results on the page.

Portraiture Classes
Suitable for students with some drawing experience rather than complete beginners. A two day course. Day one is drawing from a model, learning to look, see and understand the face, using pencil. Day two moves on to colour, using pastels, coloured pencils and/or watercolour, working from your own personal reference photograph. Maximum class: 7 students.
Life Drawing Classes
Suitable for all levels. There is something very special about drawing the nude form from life. The human figure is so familiar, and is very satisfying to draw, using line and tone, in pencils, charcoal and pastels. Julie will guide you when you need help. You won't believe how much you will improve in just one session! Half day and all day sessions.
