Botanical/Flower Painting
Spend the day drawing and painting seasonal bulbs and flowers, straight from Julie's garden when possible. Using careful observation to produce beautiful paintings, plus a look at looser watercolour styles. |
Wetter Watercolours
Loosening up your painting to produce relaxed, but bold, vibrant, colourful images. Time spent 'drawing with paint'. Using still life subjects for inspiration.
Landscape Painting
Learn lots of watercolour techniques to use in the full landscape, which you will complete over the day. A long, hard but fruitful session in the studio.
Landscape on location
Weather permitting. Landscape painting outdoors is very challenging - everyone should try it! Learning to compose the picture, balancing and editing the scene, and coping with changing light. Most beneficial if combined with the class above.
