Julie Douglas guides you through Drawing, Water Colour Painting, Portraiture, Botanical Painting and Oil Painting in this quiet, unspoilt corner, off the tourist trail. Visiting students are always delighted, having driven past lakes, mountains and the rolling green hills, free from traffic and crowds.

Classes are very small (no more that 10 students), and are friendly and relaxed. Julie is a gentle, encouraging teacher. You won’t feel intimidated in her class, but instead you’ll be amazed at how good your own work is by the end of the day. You’ll be inspired, motivated and feeling better about yourself – students walk taller when they’re going home!

Julie Douglas also offers a selection of courses out-and-about round Ireland and Europe, drawing and painting on location. And if you have a group of at least 5 students, Julie will come to you!

Do you know what © means? I find that most people know that it stands for the word Copyright, but so few people know what COPYRIGHT means. Copyrights were developed to PROTECT artists and it is a legally binding right. Artists are never flattered to see their work imitated – it is taking something from them without permission, like theft. I worked with the Association of Illustrators who work to promote an artists right to be protected – informing the general public is the hardest part, as Copyright is well understood in the profession.
